About the Author
Meet David Dobson
I'm an assistant professor in the geology department at Guilford College (www.guilford.edu) in Greensboro, North Carolina. I've been teaching here since finishing my Ph.D. at the University of Michigan. Guilford being a small college, I teach many subjects, but my training is primarily marine geology, geochemistry, and sedimentology. I've been married since 1992 to a wonderful woman, Christina. In December, 1996, we had a daughter, Brianna, and in October 1998 we had a son, Nicholas. Click here for a picture of Nicholas and Brianna together.
We also have two cats and a dog. When I'm not working or writing computer games, I enjoy playing the tuba, playing soccer, writing (see my book below), and exploring our backyard with Brianna and Nicholas.
